Stay Away From the Gas Pump on May 15th, 2007

The Queens Times, a local newspaper is urging its readers to voice their opposition and concern for astronomical gas prices by not pumping gas on May 15th, 2007. This is just the type of civil disobedience and public action the Patriots love to see happening. We commend the Queens Times and will support their effort to send a clear message to our elected officials and the oil companies (both here and abroad) and say, “We’re as mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!”

We hope that we see more gas boycotts in the future. We should get together and plan an entire weekend in the summer where no one drives, no one pumps gas and everyone stays home and enjoys their family and friends while gas prices drop.

Please read the article below and help spread the word to family and friends to make the boycott a great success.

Boycott High Gas Prices!
Do Not Pump Gas On Tuesday May 15, 2007

The warning the Queens Times gave to its readers in past editorials on how the Petroleum Conglomerates want United States gas prices equal to European gas prices is about to come to fruition unless Americans stand together and protest the high gas prices. To start do not get gas at the big gas companies Mobile, Exxon, etc. and gas up at the little independent gas stations sending a direct message to Petroleum Conglomerates that we are not happy with the high gas prices. We must write our elected officials and demand that the Government pass legislation that will force the manufacturing of gas free vehicles. Remember this quote “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has”. Margaret Mead

In the interim, let us make a difference because it was announced on the radio that this summer gas prices are expected to exceed $4.00 per gallon; getting very close the European price of $5.00 per gallon. Do Not Pump Gas On May 15th 2007. By not pumping gas on MAY 15th will mimic the “Gas Out” on April 1997. There was a “gas out” conducted nationwide on April 1997 in protest of gas prices.

Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight!

It is time that all Americans join together and refuse to pump any gas
May 15th 2007. Notify your relatives, friends and all Internet users to not go to any gas station in protest of high gas prices and stop patronizing major gas providers after the “May 15th Gas Boycott”.

Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places, soon to go higher, were millions of gallons of gas are pumped every day Americans without a computer must get the message out and join with the 73,000,000 plus American members currently on the Internet network, who on an average use about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up. If all users did not go to the pump on May 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that’s almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldn’t) notify everyone you know to join this “Gas Boycott” and those with a computer go to www.queenstimes.com and resend the editorial to your Internet contact list; saying, ‘’Do Not Pump Gas on May 15th”.

This is such nonesense. So the petrol companies lose $3 billion on a Wed, then will just make $6 billion on Thurs. The demand will be exactly the same for the week, and the revenue will be the same.

The only way a boycott could work that would hurt the oil companies is if everyone DID NOT USE THEIR VEHICLES for one day. That's not going to happen.

This so called boycott has no juice or legs. It's an internet based urban myth. There are no factual examples of this movement working in the past. It's too bad as we are going to get creamed at the pumps this summer. But make no mistake about it, this May 15th boycott is useless.
