Last night I had the pleasure of attending Councilman Gallagher’s fundraiser at Russo’s On the Bay. I attended the event because I am a member of Maspeth Town Hall and Mr. Gallagher graciously honored Eileen Riley during the program. I was amazed at the packed house and the diversity of the crowd. In attendance were elected officials, businessman, community leaders, residents, young and old. Approximately 400 people crammed the large banquet room to show their support for the Councilman and the night’s honorees. It was hard to believe that it was Monday night because of all the dancing, laughter and the good time had by all. It was a refreshing departure from the boring stuffy stiffed neck fundraisers I have attended in the past. It was more of a social event spent with close friends and family.
Congratulations to Councilman Gallagher for having such an impressive event. It was a true testament to his work as an elected official and an overwhelming show of support from colleagues, friends and his constituency.

I especially enjoyed the DJ announcing updates on the Yankees-Red Sox game. It was very nice seeing Daryl Strawberry at the event. When asked why he was sporting his 1996 Yankees World Series ring instead of his 1986 ring Strawberry haughtily replied "I don't wear costume jewelry."
You idiots who believe everything you see in writing on Blogs are so out of touch with what’s going on in the community. Gallagher is well respected by many only a few self promoting political wannabe's are attacking him but to his credit he keeps doing positive things for the city.
I have been involved in Politics for awhile I never saw a more supportive crowd Dennis clearly has many friends.

I Thought the funniest thing was when Cimino was announcing the Presidents of the Civic Associationsand its members from Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village, Maspeth, Woodhaven and Richmond Hill. THEN..... he stated that even some members of the JPCA were present..... When they stood, I DIED! Former committee members, a Holden family guy, and just average Joes that the Civic has abandoned.
Cimino's message was clear, a few idiots in charge wont reflect the views of the membership.
As usual the crap lies again . We all saw 400 plus supporters of Councilman Gallagher show up to this event. The other idiots barely have 10 supporters. The person who counted less then 200 probably does the accounting for their organizations.
Are you sure that 400 showed up? According to the QC, less than 200 were present.

Dee Richards was there ,as well as 99% of the civics in Councilman Gallagher's district. So where the little league team organizations, the senior orginizations,and a strong endorcement from the Queens County Republican Party. Why don't you ask them. Better yet next time come for yourself and see. You must know that Councilman Gallagher is well liked and respected by his district . No one has worked harder to maintain our quality of life as he has. All you have to do is go to other areas and see the difference. So if you want the truth just look at the facts, not the bull CRAP!!!!!
To all those who drink the Crapper Kool-Aid, it must be quite frustrating to know, even if you refuse to acknowledge it, that more than 400 people showed up to honor Dennis Gallagher and show their support for him. This must also be very painful since the handful of Crap writers and supporters, have gone to extremes to try to discredit and spew lies about Dennis. What you ignorant, psychotic, need to get a life followers of "Crap" don't realize is that it is actions not words that people use as a basis to sound decision making. And all that Dennis has done during his many years of public service just drowns you out no matter how much you lie, whine, cry or stoop to depths so low that you have become a real life example of true "scum". Goodbye "Crappers". You are becoming so insignificant its almost comical.

You know what very single important community and civic group came to wish Councilman Gallagher well. The talk of the true leaders was how a once great organization like Juniper has started to self destruct. Everyone realizes Bob Holden is crazy, but no one ever thought they would become so low. People are now starting to be exposed to the real Juniper Park leadership the ones who rule with an iron fist. All of the enemies of Bob Holden are now united in strength and working together for a better community. This site is a perfect example. Keep up the good work and please take the high road.
As a veteran of Political fundraisers I was present last Monday night the guest of the Old Glory Republican Club. I read the Crap I realize its a Liberal rag designed by the elitist trying to deny right thinking representatives a chance to succeed. The event was a testament to a man with a very bright Political future. Dennis Gallagher may have some vocal Political enemies as all politicians do, but he also has an army of dedicated people that will march him to victory should he decide to purse another career in elected office. Mark my word on it!
Republicans, Democrats Community leaders elected officials all present all impressed with the tremendous amount of support. I know Dennis Gallagher not personally but I have watched him since the days of Serf Maltese. This young man is the real McCoy honest bright and dedicated.

Everyone needs to take a deep breath, take a step back, start to Zen and just chill. If not, this blog site will become just as ridiculous, malevolent, insignificant and inconsequential as the "Queens Crap".
It is one thing to disagree, criticize and comment about either an elected official, private citizen or organization's policies, positions, views, etc. It is quite another to attack someone on a personal level and way beyond common decency to attack someone's family member(s). By doing so, the commentors to this blog are nothing more than "Crappers" who have relocated to a new site.
And once again, if you have something to say but are afraid, embarrased or ashamed to put your name to it, then it probably wasn't and isn't worth saying.
By making your case and still taking the "high road" you show everyone how much better you are than the "Crappers".
Conversely, by spewing hatred and attacking the families of those who you disagree with, you are nothing more than another "Crap head".
As we begin this Memorial Day weekend, let us reflect and rejoice for the freedoms we enjoy and be thankful to the men and women who fought to maintain them and continue to remain ever vigilant.

Joe Thanks for taking the high Road. You are a true leader. The problem is many people have been viciously attacked by Holden and Company and for the first time they feel they have a voice. I think they should keep the comments on official and governmental issues…. certainly plenty there to take shots at. So while I understand folks anger family should be left out otherwise we will all be “Crap”.
Perhaps Mr. Cimino should read the other site and see what Personal attacks are all about. The Patriots are a good group and people who blog are mostly responsible.
