Actions, Not Words...

The politically correct world and the members of their moral police are on the offensive by removing words from the societal vernacular. These individuals seem to think that by omitting or banning certain words from the English language they will miraculously be able to end discrimination, racism and hate.

Therefore, Al "Slim Shady" Sharpton led a rally yesterday past the headquarters of major record labels in midtown Manhattan to demand “decency” in hip hop records. Rev. Al is going to miraculously clean up the music industry by simply demanding artists and producers to “Stop the dirty lyrics” and require that they start being ‘Decent Now!”. I can’t wait for the next Eminem or 50 cent album to be released and they replace the word “ho” with “lovely lady”, the “N-word” with “good Samaritan and “bitch” with “ornery woman”. Record sales are surely to go through the roof, there will be no more hatred in the world and we will have Sharpton to thank. I hope Al Sharpton’s next stop on the decency trail is to prisons across the United States and demands that all the inmates “Stop the dirty deeds” and require them to be “good citizens now”.

I hate to burst Al’s bubble, although I love watching him make a fool of himself. I need to give him a reality check. Until you can change the hearts, minds and souls of people you will never be able to eradicate the prejudice, hate and immorality in this world. Grandstanding by making empty demands and trying to erase words from people’s vocabulary is feudal. Let’s try educating our youth on the evils of prejudice and discrimination or set better examples for them on how to treat one another. You cannot legislate morality and you cannot combat discrimination by removing words. Actions speak much louder than words. Furthermore, Al Sharpton’s past actions have done so much more to promote discrimination and hatred than any words known to man.

Sticks and stones may break by bones but names will never hurt me.

"The fact is that censorship always defeats its own purpose, for it creates, in the end, the kind of society that is incapable of exercising real discretion." ~Henry Steele Commager

Noticably absent from the march was 50 cent and Jay Z. Where was Charles Baron, oh he only complains about Don Imus

Hatred is Hatred and should be condemned. Rev Al's march no matter how transparent was a good idea too bad he does not really intend to put pressure upon these Music freaks

An open Note to Commissioner Lewendowski:

The upper ball fields in Juniper Valley Park do not belong to the special interest ball clubs that play in for profit leagues and are designed for profit! The fields belong to the people! Not the best players from Long Island signed on to play for Midville. The Ball Fields are for the Taxpaying City Residents.

For the young men and woman who are looking for a place to play. Do you know how frustrating it is to go to the park with my children and a few friends and see perfectly good ball fields just sitting unused? My Tax dollars paid for the renovation, and my tax dollars were paying for the Dodgers to keep the fields locked! Shame on the Parks Department for allowing this! Shame on the elected officials for allowing this! Shame on anyone who supports or condones this behavior! As a member of Our Lady of Hope I just received a letter in my home about this miscarriage of justice linking me to this site. I hope this organization has the moral courage to stand up for the "Real" people of Middle Village, not community board 5 members who are President of a civic and use power to advance themselves. Commissioner stand up for the little guy, the ones who are not corrupting the system!

Al would be out of a job if there was racial cohesiveness. He wants turmoil and strife to pad his bank account

I agree, censorship changes the quality of life no more than a useless city council banning aluminum baseball bats when they should be improving their districts.

Al Sharpton+City Council=Useless Hot Air

I agree, cnesorship does nothing to improve racial relations. It is as useless as our city council banning aluminum baseball bats, the N-word and catering to developers as the neighborhoods that they represent are crumbling.
