Eric Gioia fancies himself a Patriot and a deeply devout Politician. Just about anytime he has a press conference he quotes the scripture better than Jimmy Swaggart. He even released a photo with him and the Pope. Maybe he was asking the Pope for a few dollars so he could make it through his food stamp stunt. But just like most photo opportunistic politicians he is full of holy crap. This guy is the most ambitious guy you will ever meet in the political arena. Normally, this is not a bad thing but his quest to top has caused him to engage in a “Fundraising Frenzy” He even once demanded that a particular group with whom he was to support take $5,000 worth of tickets for his fundraiser. Eric that’s a big No- No.You know what else is a big No- No? Scheduling a press conference on one of the holiest days for practicing Catholics, Palm Sunday. You see Eric; you shouldn't play the religious card unless you stand up for your religion.
As a Christian, Mr. Gioia:
Where are you on Life?
Where are you on Vouchers for Private Schools?
Where are you on Gay Marriages?
Where are you on Domestic Partnership?
You can sure talk the talk but you can never walk the walk! Although you seem to think you can walk on water.

We all know Gioia is a phony. Maybe he should stand in front of a camera and eat a Steak. I do give him credit for being the world’s greatest self promoter.

This Post is so unfair Eric is a devout religious man raising a family in a diverse community. He is an example to all elected officials.
I know Eric he was a nice guy he has become so full of himself he no longer is the guy that I once knew.

Gioia strikes me as a sincere guy but his grandstanding is getting annoying. With NYC crime down, the space between a news camera and Eric, Schumer or Manhattan Boro Prez Scott Stringer is now the most likely place for a citizen to get assaulted.
I am Catholic & support Gay Marriage, pro abortion and Domestic Partnership.
I also support School vouchers.
You can be a good Catholic or American and not agree with all of their policies.

Show me one elected official who does not crave public attention and I will show you a soon to be ex-elected official. Politics and public attention go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other.

There is a reason you do not discuss religion. It is something personal between you and God. Believing in a woman's right to choose does not make me a bad person nor a bad Christian. It is between me and God. Just like you passing judgement on me for my beliefs does not make you bad catholic, it is between you and God.
