Today, the toy maker Mattel announced yet another recall of toys tainted with lead. This announcement marks Mattel’s third major recall of Chinese-made toys because of the use of lead paint during production. The recall includes toys associated with popular children’s characters such as Barbie, Dora the Explorer, Big Bird and Elmo. Consequently, this poses a threat to our children because medical experts have concluded that lead can cause serious brain damage if ingested by a child.
Unfortunately, you would be hard pressed these days to find a toy that hasn’t been made in a foreign country. The Patriots are almost positive that Americans would pay a little more for their toys to ensure their children’s safety. We hope that American toy companies take these recent recalls seriously and start paying decent wages to Americans and make safe toys within our borders. Let’s make Santa Claus proud.

Time to wake up America. We have created our own monster. Americans want top pay and yet are not willing to pay for labor rates required to produce goods in this country. Try to find something made in the US. Walmart K mart, dollar stores are all killing us. The majority of products sold there are from overseas. Chinese products have been proven to be inferior to US products. Factories have left this country creating unemployment and despair. Dog food, health care products, toys, and who knows what other merchantise is toxic to us. In recent months automotive parts are being imported and installed in cars and trucks. Tires ,front end parts, etc. are being sold at a cheap price. Can one imagine the consequences of these products failing doing 65mph. Electrical, plumbing,and other construction material are also being used. Its time we demand our political leaders and our American based companies to rectify this delima. The next job lost could be your own. Demand American products. Your dollars are being used to build up the military in China.

I would definitely pay more for toys made in the good ole USA
My childred recently had a blood test for lead and had alaming high levels in their systems. I swear it was caused by their toys.
I guess the next thing to occur is after kids bite these toys and have traces of lead the parents will sue the property owner.
