Barely “Holden” On By A String

The grapevine was buzzing late last night regarding an interesting development that occurred during Community Board 5’s monthly meeting. Last night, the community board held their elections for positions on the executive board. Up for re-election for Vice Chair, was our good friend and favorite megalomaniac Robert Holden. He was the lone nomination prior to last night until someone nominated another board member, Walter Sanchez from the floor. Votes were cast by the board members in attendance and from what I have heard; Mr. Sanchez won the election 27 to 13. Can you say coup d’ etat?

I also learned that Bob Holden was nominated for a member at large position, a vote was taken and Holden lost again. It seems that he has been relegated to a general board member and stripped of his powers as an executive board member. Let’s debate and speculate why this happened:

Robert Holden has:

• Alienated mostly every elected official in Queens (and when he gets bored he attacks elected officials in other boroughs).

• Turned a blind eye on community hotspots and eyesores in exchange for donations and advertising money.

• Not adhered to his civic bylaws.

• Used the Juniper Berry as a political propaganda machine to assist him in his quest for elected office (which may violate IRS laws pertaining to 501c3 organizations).

• Developed a creative accounting scheme that would make Al Capone’s accountant proud

• Thrown people out of his civic association meeting if they disagree with Holden Caesar (remember the story of the PTA Mom who had her microphone unplugged and her membership fee thrown at her?)

• Engaged in more lawsuits than Perry Mason.

• Refused local children the opportunity to play on the Juniper baseball fields when not being used by teams with valid permits.

Made dogs cry.

• Refused to attend community events that the JPCA cannot take credit for arranging.

• Prevented the Vietnam Moving Wall to be viewed in Juniper Park.

• Refused to allow Department Of Building inspectors into his home while urging community residents to turn in their neighbors.

• Divided our community.

The winners of last night's vote were not the hundreds of opponents of Mr. Holden.
They were civility and community cohesiveness.

Democracy is factious by nature because many different groups work hard to have their own agendas realized, their own views heard above the masses and their desired quest to gain power to achieve their goals. A group (or person) cannot survive if their only strategy is to ridicule, malign and attack others for their opposing views. I believe last night sends a clear message that democracy works and the community at large is tired of the constant turmoil and community strife that has been created by certain individuals.

It seems that community leaders, elected officials, local businesses, advertisers, and residents are seeing the light and pulling their support for Bob Holden. The balloons of community support, community board power and advertising dollars that were keeping him a loft are now floating away.

The party is over, the cows are coming home and the dietician is getting ready to sing.

I guess that he will now be able to focus more attention to the JPCA. Perhaps CB5 didn't want to be associated with all the controversy that he has created.

I think Bob Holden has done a great deal of good things for the community of Middle Village.

How about all of you South Elmhurst residents. You now have a Middle Village zip code which most Middle Village residents DID NOT want to happen. We wanted Middle Village to stay small but had no say. Getting a zip code changed is practically impossible.

JPCA should have a treasurer's report at their next meeting and then a vote on whether or not to boot Holden the "LOSER" and his bobble heads of the executive board . Lets get the JPCA back to the respected orginization it once was.

I saw on the news that Bob is on the roof of his house threatening to jump unless he can be re-elected Vice Chair. He was quoted as saying, “I don’t care want the vote was …I am the master of Middle Village … and you can’t take that away … I am Bob Holden“

I also heard in the background his neighbors yelling, “JUMP … JUMP … JUMP”

How can she sing when her mouths always full of pasta. Maybe even Bob's noodle.

While leaving Independence Hall in Philadelphia after signing the United States Constitution, a young citizen inquired: Dr Frnklin, what kind of governemnt did you give us? A monarchy or a republic? Franklin's keen response was: "A Republic, if you can keep it". For Benjamin Franklin understood that the responsibility of a successful republican government belongs inherently to the people.

On Wednesday night, the "people", the members of CB5, took on that responsibility and voted in favor of a republic not a monarchy...and that is why Holden lost.

This is a sad day, Bob was once a true leader until his hatred and lust for power started to consume him.

Bob spear heads dog leash law , looses. Bob runs for county commitee, looses.Bob runs for vice chair cb 5 looses.Bob attacks politicians and other civic minded people looses. Are we seeing a pattern . Bob the Looser Holden it has a good ring to it. Maybe you should move to Avella's neighborhood. We would be glad to see you and your crap friends leave our neighborhood, we where just fine before you reared your ugly head from your illegal basement.

This Community Board Vote was a vote on Civility. It is clear that people wanted a change and they rejected the nasty, all or nothing style Holden has exhibited.

This Vote may be the beginning of the healing process for Middle Village Maspeth and Community Board 5.

YES! There is justice in this world!

Such sweet irony that Walter Sanchez takes Bobby's coveted position. Bobby and his merry band of sycophants (known to the outside world as the JPCA executive board) have been waging one of their many 'wars' against Walter Sanchez and his newspaper for sounding the early alarm (prior to the Patriots) about Bobby's self-serving actions in the community.

An open message to Bobby H: Hey Holden, how you living now, punk? Your many enemies will lift a glass to toast another victory against your meglomania. The broad community has woken up to your evil and your pettiness.

Anonymous said...

Bob Holden used to stand for something now he is worse than any Politician. He uses the Juniper Berry for his personal vendettas and to advance his own Political goals. He had to see this coming!

Anonymous said...

What makes this vote sting so badly is that his collogues were the ones to vote him out. He has served with these people for years so as many as 15 years

Anonymous said...

The only person on the Board that Walter Sanchez could beat was Bob Holden. Bob’s angry vindictive side reared its ugly head a few too many times.

Anonymous said...

For all you anti Bob Holden people: don't revel in this victory. Bob Holden will expose all of you in the Juniper Berry and on the Crap.

MJ said...

It was the anger from the Crap that made Bob lose. People want real leadership, not a coward who attacks from behind his friends.

This is a bittersweet day for our community. I fully understand that the Community Board had to take this action Bob Holden has become much too political.

The sad part is at one time he did positive things now he tries to diminish everyone and everything.

Bob has surrounded himself with a fringe element and has become what he is associating himself with. Sad very sad

Anonymous said...

Your right he has become a fringe guy he is like the Charles Barron of Middle Village.

Anonymous said...

Bob finally is realizing that the world does not revolve around him.

Anonymous said...

Do you think Bob is ready to jettison his new found friends who are pulling him down?

Christina "I hate Italians" Wilkerson
Ed " I won't shut up Kampermann"
Tony the Tulip
Paul "I didn't Shower" Ditter

Bob used to associate himself with winners like:

Frank Principe
Kenny Rudzweick
Ernie Chrichella
Joe Crowley and all the elected officials

Anonymous said...

This is the beginning of the end for Bob Holden maybe the Board members knew someone is watching Bob

Anonymous said...

If people are watching see who paid for Bob's illegal basement. Tax Dollars?
Civic Dues?
Politicians?

Ask Al he may have pocketed the cash.

Anonymous said...

Oh Bobby, know that those who loath your behavior revel in your misfortune.

I have no dog (no pun intended) in this ugly acrimonious fued between Holden and Gallagher. But as a resident of MV I can tell you that people are fed up with the BS. And whether its fair or not, justified or not, Bob Holden is bearing the brunt of the blame for the pettiness and vindictiveness that the rest of us are forced to endure. So much so that neighbors of mine have been talking about the "incident at CB 5" regarding the "ouster" of Holden. These are people who a year ago barely knew what a community board was or that it even existed. I kid you not.

By all means, consider me a propagandist if you are loyal to Mr. Holden. I would never disagree that Councilman Gallagher shares blame for all this nonsense. But believe me when I tell you, the verdict is coming in and Mr. Holden, disproportionately perhaps, is being held accountable.

i thank the board members who had the courage to vote against king bob.now its time for us to change the leadership of the jpca.even steve the grassman broke ranks an voted for kathy m. bob your world is coming down on you.

Unknown said...

tony i hope you realize that bob is taking you down.you will soon have no political future.

Anonymous said...

i hope that sen.maltese begins to see that bob is a loser.maybe some one in his office should have the brains to cut off his funding.

Good Heavens, the JPCA brown nosing of Avella has begun in earnest.

Since there's no way that Bobby or any of the other JPCA executive board misfits can possibly win an election or hold onto even an appointed seat (witness the recent demotion of Bobby by his peers on the CB), they are hoping for a few appointed positions in a future Mayor Avella administration.

Tip to Tony Avella: Appearing too close with Bobby will be a major liability for your mayoral run.

Anonymous said...

Avella can't run for Mayor with his vote for Sonny Carson and using Toxic waste for little leaguers ball field’s people will walk away

"(I)n a community where stupidity reigns supreme (just look at who we elected), Mr. Holden just couldn't cut it. Community Board 5 voted to remove Bob from his role as vice chair. The board apparently decided that he wasn't dumb or corrupt enough to sit at the big table of douches."

This is typical Bob Holden.

Attack - Kill - Destroy

His new target – well of course CB5.

They (his peers for over a decade) had enough of him, and his anti-community tactics.

Message to Bob - the vote was 27-13 against you and your agenda – that should tell you that you are out of touch with reality or off your meds.

Bob since you are so above CB5 (and for that matter all of us) - Do all of us (the communities of Middle Village and Maspeth) a big favor – QUIT CB5.

BTW - We all know that MVI is you Bob and/or your lapdogs from JPCA.

The community is on to you.

Did you notice how bad Bob is looking lately? Is it that he finally realizes that people are fighting back? Or is it he finally found out that some official government agency is looking very closely at what may amount to serious issues.

Anonymous said...

Just got the latest issue of the Berry, Ed Kampermann what an idiot. If they weren’t so pathetic it would be funny.

Anonymous said...

Attack Attack Attack thats all Juniper Civic seems to do. I guess that maybe they are begining to realize everyone is tired of their CRAP

Anonymous said...

A new member of the Community Board beat out Bob Holden for the Member at Large position. Out of 6 people running for 4 spots he came in dead last. Not even close!
A clear indication he has lost his way and people no longer respect him.

Anonymous said...

You may not believe this but I actually feel a litlle sad for Bob. He had a good future for himself before he decided to go to war against everyone.

Anonymous said...

Bob is an angry man who can't control himself. He needs professional help.

Anonymous said...

Little Weeble and the Wicked Witch of Juniper need to go to Counseling.

Anonymous said...

Where is the Poste who always says "What goes around comes around" I guess he was right.

Anonymous said...

First time on this site. If this info is true then we have a problem in our community.

Anonymous said...

Bob stop hiding behind your "anonymous" posts on your crap site.

Again "King" Bob attacks all that dare to disagree with him, now Atlas Park is on his list of "bad places".

Why you may ask me, what did Atlas Park do ... just read Bob's own words …

"They stopped advertising in my civic association's magazine …”

Yes Bob, you are right (of course) how dare Atlas Park decide to distant themselves from you and your “attack on all” ways.

Is everything that is going wrong with you and JPCA, the Councilman’s fault or is it YOUR fault?

Bob do the community a favor – Quit CB5 and JPCA so that this community can be rid of you once and for all!!

Anonymous said...

At least JPCA has drop the sham that they are not “Queens Crap”.

Maybe “King” Bob, Tony “Tulips”, Christina “Queens of Pasta”, and Ed “I WAS a Marine” will be honest enough to start using their real names.

Anonymous said...

This is typical Bob Holden!!

I think Bob went to the John Kerry school for “flip-flop”.

First he was against Atlas Park …

Then (after AP started to advertise in the Berry) he was all for them and all negative words stopped …

Now he is against them again because they pulled their advertising money out of the Berry …

Let this be a lesson to all their advertisers, either you do as Bob and the JPCA leadership tells you, or you will be attacked!

I for one am glad that I never advertised in that political rag known as the Juniper Berry!!

Anonymous said...

will any one in the jpca ever ask for finacial report.maybe there new counsel kate will fulfill her legal duties.

Unknown said...

hey bob why was your park locked on sat june 16.i guess that no children needed to play ball.what a disgrace you are

Anonymous said...

Bob is now attacking the Atlas Lifestyle center. Typical just last year they held the JPCA Christmas Party there.

Just last year Atlas was praised in the Juniper Berry.

Just last year Bob was telling everyone within earshot how great Atlas was.

Bob Holden opening a new war! Will he ever learn?

Anonymous said...

Another example of do as Bob Holden says or be attacked! He clearly hasn't heard the message that his colleagues on the community board tried to send him last week.

Anonymous said...

Hey Bob it must be tough being perfect. It is never your fault. Your problems started when you started letting the extremist run the JPCA. Have you leaned anything?

Anonymous said...

Community Board 5 needs translators for their meetings.

Because nobody could understand a word that Ed Kampermann was muttering last week.

Anonymous said...

He of course failed to thank Councilman Gallagher and Mayor Bloomberg for helping to kill the Cross Harbor Tunnel Plan.

Anonymous said...

Ed writes like he speaks in Riddles!

Anonymous said...

Poor Bob has a new enemy:
Atlas Park.

Who next Bob wanna pick a fight with the Pope too

Anonymous said...

Maybe Hemmerdinger realizes Bob uses his Berry magazine for only political purposes. Three Cheers for Damon!

Anonymous said...

Add The Hemmerdinger Family to the list of Boband the JPCA enemies:

Councilman Gallagher
Councilwoman Katz
Artis Drugs
Congressman Crowley
Congressman Weiner
Middle Village Maspeth Civic
Community Board 5
Assemblywoman Marge Markey
Maspeth Federal
Cross County
Vinny Branigan
Dog owners

The list goes on forever.

Hey Patrick we have another Hero to Zero:

Atlas Park

JPCA at war with the World!

Anonymous said...

Bob why don't you and Christina run away to the Caribbean? Is it the first time you brought someone there?

Anonymous said...

Maybe the time you spend at Connelly's and your illegal basement developing hate strategy would be better spent on uniting the community rather than dividing.

Anonymous said...

I heard that Serf Maltes is pulling JPCA's funding next year.

Anonymous said...

The Senator needs to or else all of ob Holden's enemies will support Joe Addabbo

Anonymous said...

just rcvd the Berry. More Scud missiles launched by these domestic terrorist. Will they ever learn?

Anonymous said...

Guess what JPCA is honoring Tony Avella a communist sympathizer who supported a street name change for Sonny Carson. Wow is there anyone in our own community to honor?

Or has Bob pissed everyone off?

Anonymous said...

JPCA can't even ask an elected official from our area for help they have attacked them all without merit.

So they import this Loser who put Toxic waste in kid’s ball fields.

The JPCA and Tony Avella

Perfect Together

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the Community Board will ever vote with Bob Holden on any issue.

Anonymous said...

Too bad Mr. Holden and his misfits tried this power play now. If they would have left alone perhaps we in our community could have negotiated with the City for St. Saviours.

Anonymous said...

Kampermann and Fielder almost came to blows! Shows you that these people are wound to tight.

Anonymous said...

Better Luck next year Bob. Maybe next year you can run for Dog Catcher!

Anonymous said...

The list of JPCA enemies keeps growing. If they were smart they would realize they went astray and try to mend fences. But they can't get past the anger they are beginning their slippery slope down and the Community Board just greased the slide.

Anonymous said...

Wait till the next Post about the JPCA Finances go up!

Anonymous said...

Tony Avella is getting the Kiss of Death by Holden the Judas of the JPCA! Within a year they will hate you Tony.

Anonymous said...

Heard Tony Tulips was pissed that Holden Lost! Well you could have kept him and Kampermann on the Board and Holden still would have lost! 27 - 13 that is a butt kicking. Well deserved I may add.

Anonymous said...

I heard the Borough President was thrilled at the result of the election.

Anonymous said...

I got my money of Fiedler vs Kampermann. Steve knows how to duck and slide.

Anonymous said...

Kampermann is vicious towards Fiedler. Watch out Steve you may be in Kamperman's Korner in the Berry the Crap magazine.

Anonymous said...

Walter Sanchez beat Holden what a laugh! Bob has reached a new low

Anonymous said...

Think Holden is learning his lesson about two front wars?

Anonymous said...

Wonder if this vote effects other important votes? Will this new Community coalition stay together? If so finally change in the Community Bopard.

Anonymous said...

I heard Tony Tulips was outraged at Bob's loss. I also found some interesting campaign contributions by his company Enchanted Florist. I find it interesting that he contributed to Congressman Joe Crowley head of the Queens Democratic Party. Hey isn't he a registered republican. I thought he wanted to run for assembly on the republican ticket. Odd support the Dem party and run for State Assembly as a Republican.

Anonymous said...

JPCA HATES CROWLEY NOW, HEY JOE CAN YOU REVERSE THE ZIP CODE AT HOLDENS HOUSE BACK TO ELMHURST
