Local Group Calling for Middle Village Maspeth Tea Party?

We received another letter (reprinted below) from the Sons and Daughters of Middle Village and Maspeth. They are calling on local businesses to stop advertising in certain publications or they will start throwing the tea overboard.

THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF MIDDLE VILLAGE AND MASPETH

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The below listed companies or individuals are being asked to stop advertising in the Juniper Berry and the Forum West. We know that respectable businesses would refrain from advertising in publications that promote hatred, divisiveness and dissent within our communities. If the below businesses continue to advertise in the Juniper Berry and the Forum West we ask that our neighbors stop using their services or patronizing their establishments. It is our constitutional right to call for a boycott of businesses that refuse to stop advertising with these publications.

Implant & Cosmetic Dental Care, PLLC, RCN Telecom Services, Starship Valero, London Lennies, Connolly’s Corner, State Bank of Long Island, Cross County Federal Savings Bank, Artistic Carper, Pioneer Supermarkets, C-Spa, Michaels Funeral Home, Christ the King, Maspeth Dry Cleaners, Artis Drugs, Dom Scala Baseball Camps, Curves, Moves & Motion, State Farm Insurance Companies, Deluxe Windows Inc., Jalco, Silver Barn Farms, Dr. Barry Mensch D.D.S P.C, Met FoodMarkets, Columbia Bros. Collision Repair, Bauer’s Bake Shop, Hillebrand Funeral Homes, Foxy Florals & Foxy Lady, Four Ones Taxi, Andy’s Deli, Andrew’s Pizza, Ace Wine and Liquors, Acupuncture Health Services, Anthony Como esq., Commerce Bank, Sharp Vision, Eliot Hill Barber Shop, Enchanted Florist, Zum Stammtisch, Rashachy Salon & Spa, Pace Tire and Diagnostic Gemini Automotive Care, Noel’s Air Conditioning, Bayview Restaurant and Catering Hall, Eddie’s Appliance Repair, IDA Contracting, Magic Carpet, Preferred Carpet Cleaning, P.C.S Carpet Cleaning, L & B Sanyo Cement, Thousand Island Spa, Best Body Work, Super Clean Home Maintenance, Pellegrino Computer Repair, Moon Shine Construction Co., Papocono Builders, Mike’s Roofing, Ajax Roofing, Nick “The Tile Man”, Allstate Tree and Stub.

Local businesses should spend their advertising dollars with reputable, respectable and honorable publications. Please help our community put an end to the constant turmoil and strife being caused by the Juniper Berry and the Forum West.

Sincerely,

The Sons and Daughters of Middle Village Maspeth

Who are the sons or daughters are they a made up orginazation. Be careful you may be going to far guys. Stop dragging other individuals in to a petty fued. Most people do not read these blogs but they will get angry if they are being persecuted by knee jerk reaction of Holden and the other elected officials. We want this nonsense to stop from both sides.

I don't know who you are "The Sons and Daughters of Middle Village Maspeth". I live in Middle Village and never heard of you. You are very mean spirited. Who do you think you are? Another big bully....just what we need. What gives you the right to threaten local businesses? They are free to advertise with whomever they please.

You can't blame Zum-Stamm-Tish Ed Kampermann drinks away half his Social Security Check before he drives home

The place owes him to take at least an Ad they have to take care of one of the best Bar customers around.

Do you think anyone has a video of Ed leaving Zumm's and nearly falling and then entering his car?

Christ the King taking ads in the Berry is Serf Maltese's way to kiss Bob Holdens butt. It is such a shame that Senator Zero doesn't have the Balls to stand up he is such a loser and will be in 08 when Joe comes to town!

Serf kiss up while you can its over soon.

State Bank of Long Island is a payback Ad. The guy who runs the bank kids play on the Midville Dodgers while living on Long Island. Our tax dollard our JPCA dues and Bob gets a kickback!

I will still shop at Met Food they hate Bob! But I will no longer use Maspeth Cleaners as the Berry sits there waiting to be handed out. My wife works my son works and I work we always used Maspeth Cleaners no more!

Is Moon Shine Construction operated by Ed Kampermann?

Interesting tactic...hope it works

I heard many of the advertisers no longer pay but their name is still used. I think the Son's and Daughters should find out which ones before organizing boycotts

Guilty by association

I was extremely disappointed that Artis drugs was listed. I have been going to them for years and will continue to do so despite this. However, I will mention the letter next time I go pick up my viagara prescription

Why are you trying to ruin our local businesses. They should be free to advertise anywhere they want. I don't know who you people are but you hold no credability to me.

No one should support your organization.

It's not us advocating for the boycott of certain businesses based upon their advertising. We are just printing interesting letters we receive via e-mail. In addition, the Patriots are not an organization, we are a blog site exercising our first amendment right. We are disappointed that we do not have your support and you are entitled to your opinion as are we. Thank you for taking the time to post on our blog site. We look forward to your future coments

Until "The Sons and Daughters of Middle Village Maspeth" name themselves, who can take them seriously...

Amen brothers and sisters! I'm with you on this one.

No one is telling these businesses not to advertise in the Dingle Berry however what your saying is if you choose to advertise with this group, we won't do business with you. Thats all.

Its about time Bully Boy Bob Holden gets a taste of his own medication.

Mr. Mojo Risin..

The reputable, honorable, and respectable manner for the "Sons and Daughters..." to communicate with our local businesses would be to identify themselves.

Hey should the Crap identify themselves?

Should Tulips admit he blogs?

Should Holden admit he writes all those letters to government agencies asking for investigations?

This is a new generation of cowards and the leaders in cowardice are the JPCA followed by the Crap and running a close third The Juniper Park Patriots!

Those who comment on the Queens Crapper or the Juniper Park Patriots need not identify themselves unless it is they who are calling on people to boycott businesses that advertize in a local newspaper. However, this letter from the Sons & Daughters whoever they are should be signed as it is asking people to take an action without knowing just who the request that they do so is coming from. To me, that's dishonorable & disreputable.

I think many of the comments on the Crapper as well as, to a far lesser degree, here are disrespectful and dishonorable. That's distasteful and the result of the anonymity of blogs but those comments are not a direct appeal to people to harm other's livelihoods.

Somebody is angry but still remains anonymous! Hmmmmm.

Not angry at all, just believe that a group calling on people to hurt advertizers should at least be open about it if they going to send letters. I post anonymously but am just commenting and offering an opinion not promoting or discouraging any act against the abovementioned advertizers. If I wrote you a letter, I'd sign it.

I totally agree with the blogger who calls on those who are hurting our local businesses under the name of the Sons & Daughters of Middle Village Maspeth to identify themselves.

I hope all the local businesses that were mentioned DO NOT ADHERE to this organization and know that the community will still stand behind them.
