Gallagher Refuses Plea Bargain Deal

According to a New York Post Article, Councilman Gallagher has turned down a plea deal that would keep him out of jail. Under the rejected offer, Gallagher would have admitted to felony assault, but not to a sex crime.

This recent offer could mean that the weak evidence against Gallagher will not give prosecutors the ability to persuade a jury to convict. Moreover, the refusal of the plea bargain to keep Gallagher out of jail is a clear indication that the councilman is confident that he will be vindicated.

The Patriots admire both his courage and his resolve in proving his innocence.

I always thought something was wrong here

I always thought that we should wait till all the facts are in, before we pass judgement.. seems like the facts are making the DA's office look a little closer at this. Good for them I hope that the make right decision.

Even if he didn't commit a crime, his actions were nothing to be proud of. A politician who is supposed to be representing his community shouldn't be complemented for behaving like a slob. I don't care much for the JPCA leadership, but I'm not going to sit here and defend Gallagher's actions either.

You know what is really tragic, Michael Vick didn't take the plea bargain either. I absolutely love the convuluted nature that is Dennis Gallagher and his ass cronies. Everybody knows he is a scumbag, he finished last in those republican elections and yet he has supporters. That is love. All I know is that when a ship sinks, all its crew goes with it. Hope ya'll can swim. See you soon!!!

So Gallagher's personal life was in disary. Half my friends life is the same way, one thing is for sure he works hard for our community. Most of the JPCA's accomplishments came because of Gallagher and his mentor Ognibene. Bob Holden just wants Power and is saddened that he can't have the Council seat. Thank God!

Looks the DA might not have a strong case if the first offer off the bat was no jail time and not convicted of a sex crime

I used to think the guy was guilty and believed but I am having second thoughts

Looks like they don't have much of a case if this is their initial plea offer

I'm glad he turned down the offer proves to me that he feels he is innocent of the charges

turning down the offer show's a lot of guts

I hope that they drop the charges all together

If this is the very first offer the Da is making, no jail time and no conviction of a sex crime then it stands to reason that the next offers will be even less severe

When this goes to trial you will see this man is innocent and I hope the Defense subpoena's Bob Holden and all his interactions with the DA.

I hope they also have a Forensic expert check Bob's civic paid computer. We all know what we will find.

So does the Defense!

Dennis is great guy. He may be a man's man and he did something wrong (cheated on his wife), but I don't think its true he raped someone.

A man's man....What the f$$$ is that? An excuse? Not all men betray their spouse. Those who don't cheat are a man's man to me. I hope your spouse isn't doing the nasty with someone else. If so, I hope you are as understanding as you claim to be.

Idiot.

SEEMS TO ME DENNIS HAS A HISTORY OF "SEXY" SUSPICIONS. REMEMBER THE CHRIST THE KING ACCUSATIONS? HE NEEDS TO RETHINK HIS ACTIONS ON A DAILY BASIS.
