Midville Dodgers Basebrawl “Baseball like it shouldn’t be”

It has come to our attention that Midville Dodger coaches involved in nurturing young ball players are teaching them more than throwing baseballs. It seems they have added throwing punches to the sports curriculum. According to our sources, at least one coach was arrested because of a violent physical altercation. Coach Anthony Macchirule was busted at Juniper Boulevard South and 71st Street for assault by Detective Musloso. Rumor has it that the assault was a violent response to a close and over zealous play at the plate prompting the coach to physically attack a young ballplayer. I bet you Pee Wee Reese is very upset right now because this is not what little league baseball should be teaching our young impressionable children while wearing Dodger blue.

Youth sports are great for kids if we keep things in perspective and teach them positive behavior. The ultimate goal of little league baseball is raising honest, responsible kids who demonstrate genuine respect for others and this is the greatest reward for any parent or coach involved with youth baseball. Clearly, the Midville Dodgers, Robert Holden and its leadership need to learn this lesson, and they can only accomplish this by the example that is set by coaches and league administrators. Hopefully, concerned parents will demand that some disciplinary actions are taking, ask that coaches attend anger management courses, start requiring background checks for all coaches and request a much needed change in leadership to ensure that this type of violent outbursts do not happen again. Our young ball players deserve the very best.

What a disgrace. Adults should be setting a positive example for the young people.

Holden is a goon.

Anyone who entrusts their kids to his supervision risks them growning up to be just like him--a vindictive, self-important ass, who doesn't know how to behave in public society.

Coaches and parents have to exercise control. I have seen way too often what happens when one is caught up in the moment. We have to remember it is only a game. There will always be a winner and a loser. If you have an interest, be it as a coach or as a parent, the chances are you have been caught up in a moment that you might want to take back.

They are just kids......Relax and enjoy the game.....even if the calls aren't always in your favor!

Easier said than done.

I knew this was coming. Very good post I am glad everyone sees what a disgrace Muddville is.

I wonder if Bob Holden will use his influence to try to have this go away like he did when his son was allegedly busted for Graffiti

Anonymous said...

Do you think the Fourm will cover this?

Anonymous said...

I guess Bob's vindictive nasty spirit is transferred to his coaches

How much do you want to bet that "Above The Law" Holden will keep this guy on.

Where is Bob Holden now is he calling the press and advising them of this crime? Or will he just protect his friends?

Anonymous said...

Anger is a part of Holden's life his kids know his wife sure knows his friends know and know his coaches follow his lead

I understand that this riveraly was a heated one. Two Long Island teams Midville Dodgers were one of them

Sportsmanship Holden style.

I would like to foil the 104th Pct Log for that day to see if Bob Holden was a guest, trying to free his coach

Anonymous said...

Wonder if Bob asserted some influence because I did not see this issue in the press except for a lirttle clip with a misspelt name

Anonymous said...

Oh Crap why did you not focus on this? Is it because it is your exhaulted leaders friend?

Anonymous said...

A coach invoved in a bench clearing brawl what a shame I wonder why more arrest didn't occur

Anonymous said...

Remember thses are not kids playing they are over 18 and leaglly responsible

Coaches have the right to defend themselves especially when they see their son nearly hurt in a dirty play. I myself would have smacked the crap out of the kid if he hurt my son

Bob Holden where is your public comment? Is Assault OK? I know you believe it is ok at home how about in Baseball?

It would appear that this team could use some skills in anger management as well as better skills in judgment and impulse control. Our organization offers professional training in anger management to a large variety of organizations. For more information on anger management training whether you are a large group or a single individual please visit our website at www.ajnovickgroup.com.

Another Holden crony has a crime covered up! I am not suprised! First Tony The Tulips daughter busy upstairs while a friend is being abused by young men downstairs, and fails to come foward and tell the truth. Where was Bob did he go to the Press asking for vindication for a poor young abused girl? NO

Maybe getting free flowers from Tulips for his friend at City Tech is more important?

Hey so some people went to a MUDVILLE baseball game and a hockey game broke out, that's entertaining!

Anonymous said...

I would expect Steve the Grass Man to be violent not Anthony!

After all the mind altering substances he inhales he can't control himself!

Anonymous said...

This Midville team has never been about teaching kids, it is about Bob Holden's ego thats why he recruits players from all over to play not here from Middle Village and Maspeth!

Midville is a disaster waiting to happen for Bob Holden especially after the official complaint filed with the Attorney Generals office regarding the finances and the commingling of funds with the Juniper Park Civic Association.

Bob’s name may yet be in headlines!

Holden's too busy calling the local papers trying to twist the knife into Gallagher's back to comment on his own personal disgraces (of which there are many).

bob dont throw rocks when you have a glass house.

Anonymous said...

hey how will they explain how midville an the jpca comingle their funds. maybe sen. maltese should be made aware of bob's mishandling of funds

This is complete bullshit. I was at the game where the fight occured and nothing that was descibed above ever happened. The coach was falsely accused of something, and in due time it will be proven. So, before you open your mouth, how about you understand what exactly happened. I am an unbias party and i can easily state that the fight and accusations came from the other team. Midville is a very respectable team and so is Bob Holden, and did i mention the best high school team in the nation. So for those who think otherwise... SHUT YOUR MOUTHS

Anonymous said...

There goes the anger we all know... lol. This is hysterical! This jerk says he is unbias and goes on to consider both Midville AND King Holden RESPECTABLE!?....

ok... sure... and we are def. going to SHUT OUR MOUTHS NOW.

riiiiight..

I thought this blog was all about "innocent until proven guilty" or does that only apply to Dennis Gallagher?

mm says

maybe they will turn juniper park into a cemetary - and then no one will play anything - is that what you want??? - i dont think even then it would be big enough to bury all the dummies that live in maspeth and middle village HAHAHA

Can someone from the Crap ask Bob Holden to publicly state when the JPCA membership voted on using civic funds for the Midville Dodgers and why he has never told the civic membership that the kids who play on Midville are not all local players a lot of them are from Long Island!

Why should Civic money be used for Long Island Baseball players?

Why should we give near exclusive use of a ball field in Juniper Park to Long Island Players while denying Our Lady of Hope Kids the chance to play?

Do you think Nassau County would do that for City kids?

Please Bob we know you profit. Be man enough to respond to this.

Holden a man? A man never abuses his wife!

Anonymous said...

Don't be rude let’s see if Bob has the courage to answer the questions put forth.

Anonymous said...

You guys expect to much from the Crap. I have tried to Post they never print it. Bob will never answer you he can't he knows the answers may be used against him by the Attorney General.

To MM:

What we want is local kids playing ball on fields that were paid for with our tax dollars.

We don't want elitist from Long Island using our field while locals can't.

MM call your buddy Bob Holden and ask for the rosters submitted to the Long Island division the Midville team plays in and see how many Middle Village and Maspeth kids are on the team you will be shocked to find out the answer.

This is under investigation as well as how Bob spent civic money on his home improvements and uses civic resources as a 501 non for profit for Political purposes and for his own busisness.

Anonymous said...

I believe that when all is said and done Bob Holden will be found innocent! The only thing I worry about as a civic member I never ever voted on a treasurers report. I hope Bob isn't hiding anything.

Anonymous said...

To the Guy who was "at the game" why did the Police arrest Anthony? You need to get your glasses fixed!

Anonymous said...

2nd day and Holden has not answered! Get the picture what is he hiding?

Anonymous said...

4th day no response from Holden hey Patrick why don't you try and do a post to dear old Bobby boy
