According to NY 1, Councilman Dennis Gallagher returned to City Hall to attend committee hearings and stated council meeting. The Councilman stopped briefly to address reporters and stated, Listen, I'm innocent, I’m innocent of the charges, I know that I will be vindicated in the long run and I’m going about my business. On a daily basis I’ve been in the office. I’ve been working on issues related to my district and I continue to do my job.” To date, no charges have been filed against Councilman Gallagher and he expects to have his name cleared when all the facts are presented.
Does it surprise anyone else that the District Attorney’s office is taking so long to make a decision regarding this case? According to everything we read in the papers about the incident, the account told by the alleged victim and the so-called evidence you would think Gallagher would be behind bars by now. Could it be that you can’t believe everything you read in the papers? There are two sides to every story? The evidence paints a different picture?
We at the Patriots commend Gallagher for doing his job and representing his community under these stressful conditions. We also hope that he will be cleared of all charges and that he is fully exonerated of any wrong doing.
We are aware that “some” people are going to be screaming that the Patriots support Gallagher. We would like to go on the record and say, yes we do support Gallagher. However, we also support:

Congressman Anthony Weiner
Assemblywoman Marge Markey
Councilman Tom Ognibene

I really enjoy this site. You don't tell me what to think. I just tried to post two blogs on the Crap regarding censoring peoples comments and to no surprise they were censored!
Why support him before we know all the facts? Even if he didn't commit a crime, the other alleged behavior (drinking away a Sunday afternoon at a local bar, picking up a woman that he just met there and driving her to his district office) is not very becoming for a person who has been elected to represent us in city politics.
Councilman Gallagher will be indicted....an indictment IS NOT a conviction...It is simply a majority vote that there is enough evidence to proceed to a trial....A Grand Jury presentation is a one sided affair in which the prosecution is the sole moderator and controls every witness called to testify...They have absolute control over what evidence is heard or kept from the Grand Jury....It is due to this process that former Chief Justice Sol Wachtler(NYS) famously remarked "You could indict a ham sandwich."....I have had the priviledge of seeing the evidence...Some that will be presented at the Grand Jury, some that WILL NOT be admitted until trial...I will tell you this....Gallagher will be exonerated.

I give him a lot of credit for have the courage the face everyone and continue to perform his job despite the allegations.
This must be killing Bob because he wants the councilman to run and hide. Thankfully Dennis has the guts to continue his work and live his life until the truth comes out.

A series of odd things with this woman...Getting into a mans car whom you've claimed to have had no prior conversation...Walking up an entire flight of stairs with this same man....Posing in shorts for the newspaper just days after this so called horrofic assault....Submitting to an interview..Returning to Danny Boys barely a week after this incident and being recognized by a member of the NY Daily News...Oddest of all?...Your very puzzling, inconsistent and contradictory statements to investigators and prosecutors.
The case against Gallagher is not going well in the Grand Jury after all....A sit down amongst bureau chiefs in the DA's office was convened after todays testimony...What was regarded as a slam dunk is now reduced to nearly 50-50....YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!
